Quick hit: I enjoyed Lazy Ox Canteen quite a bit. The burger patty was incredibly flavorful, and the burger had a good mix of different sauces and cheese that went very well together. I also really liked the homemade poppy-seed bun that seems to be a sticking point with some other people. Burger aside, the thick steak fries that came with the order were not my favorite. Some interesting appetizers made up for the crappy fries though. The ambience had a great energy to it, and I liked the cozy feel to the restaurant. At $14 for the burger, and $7-$10 for appetizers, the price was a bit high, but not unreasonable. Overall, the combination of a terrific burger and a nice atmosphere made Lazy Ox a big winner in my book! [more...]
